Now if they can just tell us how to afford it.

Easy, have a fun and fantastic wedding in Vegas. Invite all the folks to participate via web cam (that's what we did). Have a relaxing post wedding day, then spend the rest of the vacation gambling like fiends and having a scrumptious time. The wedding, the chapel, the clothes we wore, the flowers, the pictures, the videographer, the officiant (same one that married Penn of Penn & Teller), the Elvis impersonator, the music, the pink Caddy, the limo to and from, the web cam and an ENTIRE WEEK in the Bellagio - was only about $3K.

We took the rest of the money we would have spent on some fleeting over-the-top white wedding family fiasco (where we didn't get to rest or eat any of the food we anguished over) and went to Paris and Madagascar for a month!

Whoo hoo! We certainly think this was the right financial decision.

That is not very adventurous. Try places like Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan (I heard the gunfire is light this time of year). Or you could tiptoe hand in hand in the minefields of Vietnam and Cambodia.
