Someone arrest this no-name pastor already. If churches across the US start exploding all of a sudden then we need someone to blame.

This is more proof that all religons have their share of lunatics and morons. This guy is an idiot for burning these books and even bigger idiots out there who say they want to encourage suicide attacks. I do believe that religon (I am a Christian) can make the world a much better place if we actually live the words of Christ (speaking to Christians) and become what Jesus became and that is a servant. It is time to stop taking up weapons and begin taking up the towel. Praise the Lord that this "church" only has 30 members (20 members have left). Churches are like public swimming pools. . .the most noise comes from the shallow end.

This is silly. A 50 person church burning religious books and everyone has their undies in a bundle. This is a prime example of the liberal media making this a headline story in an effort to try to make all christians look like one wingnut. While I don't support the burning of the books, it is their constitutional right. If the terrorists don't understand that then it only underscores why they are the enemy.

Intolerance of other religions is at the root of most violence in human history. All religions claim theirs is the only one worthy of passage.

I want to know why President Obama did not take the opportunity to denounce this type of act with the denouncing of the burning of the Koran when he took the podium , HE NEEDS TO TELL THE MUSLIM RADICALS AT THE SAME TIME THAT THERE IS NO TOLERANCE FOR EITHER KINDS OF ACTS !!!!!

They still have not gotten closure from the 911 attacks. They never got bin Laden and people are feed up. they forget when they declare it a religious war. They need to move the moque to six blocks away. People need to learn the right thing to do. You can slap your mother, but is it the right thing to do? c'mon.

Even worse that inciting the recruitment of child suicide bombers is the signal sent to American Muslims - that they are the enemy of the United States - according to some Americans. This Church is very similar to the KKK - inciting hate and violence. If you tell all the Muslims in America and worldwide that they are the enemy and shouldn't have their religion respected in America, certainly you will alienate some that might have been our friends.

This is just another obvious demonstration that many muslims are absolute lunatics. Who are they going to attack? Some innocent person on a plane? As if that makes any sense at all?

If you religion can't stand up to an insignificant little protest then it doesn't deserve to be recognized.

If you consider the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, most of them outside of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran - that the people in the overwhelming majority of Muslim countries are either our friend or have no strong opinions about us.

Tell them all their religion is not acceptable to Americans, that we consider them to be devils and we want to publicly insult their religion, and there will be some change.

Plenty of governments of Muslim Majority countries are our friends - Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia, Turkey, etc etc. This one stupid act won't change them all but it will affect some of the less educated among their population. The worst and most unfair impact is on American Muslims, blaming all of them for a few violent radicals. Christians and Jews are all blamed for their violent fanatics. Muslims should not be either.

What's totally beyond belief is the fear of Islam around the world right now due to this 1-pastor!!! The fear is at or above panic/hysteric levels!!! I have to say that Islam has won this war and they have to be laughing at the world as it clamors in total fear to try and stop this 1-man.

There have been many cases of ethnic violence around the world - sometimes Muslims against Christian and vice versa. There have been Churches burned in Northern Nigeria in recent years. But I know of no cases of a big public burning of bibles by Muslims.

Muslims vary tremendously (like Protestants - very decentralized religion and a sprinkling of violent lunatics) but generally they have respected people of "the book" - from the religions starting from Abraham. The claim repeated by ignorant people about Muslims coommonly burning bibles is just based on ignorant prejudice, not on fact.

The Ottoman Empire (Turkey and the Arab countries) for centuries prior to its demise in World War I was much more tolerant toward Christians and Jews than European countries were toward Christians with different sects (e.g. protestants in France) and toward Jews than Europeans were.

Al Qaeda is a tiny minority - against the United States and also against the Muslim or largely Muslim governments of Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Islam is common in developing countries and some of those countries are in civil wars (just as largely Christian Congo is in a huge civil war with millions dead).

Wish for the entire Muslim world to be your enemy and do things to make them all made and you will move toward your goal - offending and alienating your friends. What a dumb thing to do!

Worldwide, educated Muslims will probably realize that this Koran burning was a limited act, though it adds an emotional image to a lot of other Islamophobia expressed in America recently.

The powerful image will be the pile of burning Korans shown to 13 year olds to show how evil the US is and to encourage them to volunteer as suicide bombers.

The image will also influence and disappoint some of our many Muslim friends around the world. They will see the picture, not the many thousands of words, mostly opposing this foolish act. Here a picture will be worth more than a thousand words, perhaps more than a thousand lives.

This country is suppose to be free. they can kill are people on are own ground,then tell us what we can do and not do.this pastor my be wrong but in these country he has the right to do that. The over reaction of something rather meaningless by the Muslims speak loudly for their so-called religion of peace. I'm sure the guy in Florida putting on the little event had no idea of the ruckus that has resulted. Unwittingly, he has caused these raving lunatics to show their true colors - - and it's bad. Not saying that the preacher should do such a thing, but the world needs to be watching with both eyes fully open.
