Been there, Done that, Loved it! The wife can't wait to go back in 2010.
Many of the resort are very nice. Its a whole new sense of freedom! The Naturist way has rules that keep it a family friendly enviroment.
While I'm open to the idea, there are a lot of people out there I just don't want to see without their clothes on.
My wife and I are both "typical" suburban parents, but both have been to nude beaches etc. She said she found it liberating, then normal.
I laugh when friends pull out their kids naked baby pictures for their friends to see. To me that's more perverted than consenting adults.
Sure why not. I love an outdoor shower, and besides everyone looks either one of two ways, nothing at all to hide!
Already have taken several at Hedonism and Desire... FANTASTIC. After the first few uneasy feeling moments, you realize how great it is.
Maybe. Just being naked in and of itself does nothing for me. It depends on what I'm doing, where, and who I'm with.
Been there done that. No problem. The only places in the world that really frown on nudity are the fundamentalist nations including the USA
Trust me, nudity quickly loses its sexual allure when EVERYONE is stripped down. BTW: not everyone has perfect bodies - even in LA.
I have absolutely no problem with nudity as I'm very proud of the way I look. I've always wanted to try a vacation like this but my wife will have not even think about it.
People are too hung up on this issue. Everyone looks either one way (female) or another (male) and there is really absolutely nothing to hide!
we stumbled on our clothing-optional vacation when i booked us at an 'adults only' resort. i took that to mean no kids, as in running and screaming down the halls and splashing/peeing in the pools, not NO KIDS BECAUSE THERE ARE NAKED PEOPLE AROUND. after a few contests and drinks, we both had our eyes opened.
before then, i'd have thought that anyone BUT ME seeing my girlfriend's jumblies would be in for an ass kicking, but you know what? we decided that we work hard enough, we pay our taxes and we live by society's rules. we deserve a break from everything.
we experienced/saw/did things we wouldn't EVER do back home, and we've been going back at least once a year. but as the article said, it's not for everyone. you either become stronger as a couple, or it tears you apart. the trick is either knowing ahead of time or making it work.
We didn't come into this world clothed. Nudity is natural, clothes are unnatural. To me the ones with the most to hide protest the most. I stay nude most of the time at home and in my backyard, go to nude pool parties, and nude beaches. Life is to short to deal with other peoples hang ups.
Tried it in Jamaica. It was great. After a few minutes seeing how everyone acts was refreshing. Seemed like It came very natural to everyone there. My wife and I would do it again. I hope we get the chance.
why not no sun tan lines nice tan all over
I never thought I would, but once I did, I loved it! No wet, cold, clingy swimsuit! I did a lot of research before I did it. AANR (American Association for Nude Recreation) has a wealth of info on it's site. It is such a freeing experience. There's lots & lots of 50+ nudists, people with surgery scars, etc. Very few people are "perfect." As a nudist, you are not judged by what you wear or what you look like. It actually helps improve your self-esteem, as people accept you for you, not your clothes, body size, etc.
I can't stand swimming in a suit. Would you put on a suit to go into the shower? Why so to go into a lake or the ocean? It's interesting that Haulover Beach near Miami is the most used park in the Dade County Park system. It is a clothing-optional beach with lifeguards, refreshment stands, lavatories, parking nearby and 99.9% of the people are sans any clothing (my wife contributing to the .1%).
Michigan, my home state, would do well in these economic times to establish a public c/o beach with the expected amenities of any beach. It's too bad that for Michigan that I spend most of my vacation dollars elsewhere just because the administration (not so the people) kowtows to the fanatically Christian Taliban. Wise up DNR, get complaining about lack of funds for state parks; establish a c/o beach on the shore of Lake Michigan, charge a small fee, and rake in the dollars!
As a nurse I've seen my share of human bodies. Just don't care to see them in public. Most people look better with clothes on, trust me.
I have been a nudist for over 50 years. all my childrengrew up in the same way. we have never had any problems with nudity. my 2 daughters are great moms and their husbands are very good providers. we never saw any guns or knives at the beaches or camps we went to and all the people were very nice. I have found that people that are nudist, are among the nicest I have ever met. we all get along extremely well together. I have never seen a fight or any physical disagreements, can't say that about even a elementary school.

For me that is, if others are comfortable with it , more power to you, go for it.
